Just wanted to let you all know about the CABOMA Holiday party on Sunday December 11 at 2pm-6pm! Come on out to Lyon Park and bring your holiday spirit, a Christmas song to play, your instruments (for playing, or trade), some food for pot luck, a smile, and your CABOMA dues! We’d love to see and hear you.
Of course we will be jamming, as that is our primary purpose. We are just surrounding the jam with an extra helping of fun, fellowship, and food (and an appeal to pay your membership dues).
We are also having a Shop -N- Swap, so if you have any musical equipment or instruments for trade or sale, bring them! Tuners, sheet music, fiddles, guitars, mandolins, strings, bows, basses, CDs, anything music related that you think folks would like. You strike the bargain and convert your unused or neglected wares into appreciated treasures.
Feel free to bring food, it can be a side dish or an entree, savory or sweet. There is a kitchen; so if you want to heat something up you can. We just have to make sure the kitchen is as clean as it was when we got there. Maybe some lasagna, kale chips, quac and salsa with corn chips, coleslaw, noodle salad, sheet cake, veggie platters, fried chicken, xmas cookies, candy, apple cider, clementine oranges, or whatever you want.
Also, if you are a member of our organization; we ask for dues, and the holiday party is the perfect time to renew your membership so we can keep Bluegrass and Old-time music alive. $40 a year is not much money for a yearly membership (I spend more money at Starbucks), and it goes towards keeping the doors open at the Lyon Park Community center and our organization humming. See our membership page for more information.
