Join CABOMA and keep the music going.

Our dues cover the cost of holding twice monthly jams, plus a summer picnic and a December party, and the occasional workshop.

You really get more. You join a community that has been around since the late 1970s, steeped in the capital area’s bluegrass and old-time musical traditions yet on top of what is happening now. We welcome new generations of musicians and therefore offer a half-price associate membership for those 17 or younger. Musical families can join at just one-and-a-half times the cost of an individual membership.

No matter where you are on your musical journey, CABOMA is for you. CABOMA includes many professional musicians as well as accomplished amateurs, so you can challenge yourself as much as you want while making great music. We equally welcome newcomers and go out of the way to put them at ease in our slow jams. Regardless of how you fit in, we want you to have fun and keep coming back.

Membership gives you a say in the running and direction of CABOMA. Members elect a board and officers every December. (Families get 2 votes). Just as important, our current leadership listens to your ideas and suggestions throughout the year. We want to know how to make the CABOMA experience better.
